Suppose a fusion reactor ran on d-d reactions i.e. can fuse two isotopeH nuclei. Estimate how much water for fuel would be needed per hour to run a pqMW reactor asing % efficiency.

Solution:

One reaction provides the energy asing d-d fuses to isotopeHe E Delta m c^ m_H m_d c^ pq.u- pq.u c^ pq-.MeVpcq c^ pq-.MeV pq.J. Obviously N fracpq.eJpq.J numpr.e fusion-reactions are necessary.
